Abstract
The article presents an overview of the main prospects for the implementation and use of educational testing platforms in educational institutions. The authors examine the meaning of such concepts as "test", "distance testing", "training test", and define the features of their semantic meanings. The main four groups of educational distance testing with a list of digital platforms and tools are identified. Designing the educational process in the conditions of distance learning puts forward tasks for testing - a productive and creative approaches to identify and improve the professional competencies of students. It is proved that the relevance of the topic is equally important for both groups ofo institutions: higher education institutions and institutions of continuing professional education. The authors have developed a questionnaire for teachers and students of H. S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University, Bila Tserkva Institute of Continuing Professional Education and Donetsk National Medical University on the attitude to testing in distance learning, the effectiveness of platforms and the possibility of improving professional competencies when passing test tasks. It has been proved that an important condition and reserve for the effective use of testing is the creation of individualized tests adapted to the specifics of disciplines or courses, with the maximum involvement of professional terms; creation of tests with an optimal composition, which provides not only the choice of solution options, but also practical tasks that can reveal the professional competencies of students. During the survey, teachers noted the most effective platforms Moodle, Google Form and Class Time. The survey revealed that distance testing is perceived positively by students, as most of them: easily registered on the e-learning site; feel psychologically comfortable during online testing; objectively assess the level of difficulty of the proposed distance tests; consider testing a more convenient form compared to oral or written forms, but note that academic dishonesty may be present in distance testing.
