Abstract

The paper examines the issue of the development of creative thinking of students of primary education in the conditions of the New Ukrainian School. The purpose of primary education is defined, the key competences that must be acquired by primary school students are listed. The characteristics of creative thinking are given, the factors influencing the development of a creative personality are described. The role of certain educational disciplines in school, which influence the development of creative thinking of younger schoolchildren, is determined.
