Abstract
The paper analyzes the directions of accounting indicators of scientific and pedagogical staff on project activities and preparation of winners of student research papers competition and All-Ukrainian Olympiad. Thus, project activities are taken into account 1) for the construction of various ratings ("Top 200 Ukraine" (indicator "Erasmus+"), "Consolidated rating of Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine" (based on the rating "Top 200 Ukraine"), etc.), state certification of scientific and scientific and technical activities of higher education institutions (direction "integration of scientific (scientific and technical) activities of higher education institutions in the world educational and scientific space"); accreditation of educational programs (criteria 4, point 5 – "Training, teaching and learning"). The number of winners of student research papers competition and All-Ukrainian Olympiad also affects the position of higher education institutions in the abovementioned ratings and the provision of educational institutions with licensing conditions for educational activities. All these factors directly or indirectly (formation of positive public opinion and, as a consequence, increase of education applicants' number) influence the financing of higher education. The updated directions of Erasmus+ programme implementation in Ukraine and ways of its modernization are presented. Separate aspects of students' preparation for the competition of student research papers and the All-Ukrainian Olympiad are considered. The leaders from the "Top-200 Ukraine" rating by "Erasmus+" indicators and the number of winners of student Olympiads and competitions of student research papers are given. Based on the analysis of these data the conclusion has been made that the majority of higher education institutions, which are leaders on these indicators, are leaders in the overall ranking as well, which indicates a systematic production of policy to support research and teaching staff to carry out activities in their chosen areas.
