Abstract
An important role in achieving the results of school biological education belongs to practical works that teach schoolchildren to study living nature, conduct observations and experiments. Depending on the content of the educational material and its place in the curriculum, practical work can be carried out before studying the topic, to obtain new knowledge, to consolidate the studied material and to use the acquired knowledge in practice. In addition, practical work can be an element of internal control of the results of educational activities in biology. By carrying out internal control, during their implementation, evaluation for the sake of learning is provided, feedback is provided between the results of students and the efforts of teachers, which positively affects the educational success of schoolchildren.
