Abstract
The trend of mixed training in the domestic Career and Technical Education system became relevant in the spring 2020 caused by the implementation of quarantine anti-epidemic measures due to the threat of "COVID-19" pandemic spread. It was accelerated in the period of martial law declared by Ukraine on February 24, 2022 in connection with the Russian aggression against our state. There is a pragmatic point of view in the circles of Ukrainian educationists that mixed learning is a combination of direct (on-site) and indirect (through the possibility of online learning) forms of interaction between education seekers and teaching staff. However, a wider vision of mixed learning makes it possible to interpret it as a process of optimizing the educational process, increasing its effectiveness for professional education seekers. The transition of vocational education institutions to mixed learning should be based on the transformation of the educational process for the best possible provision of the educational needs and interests of education seekers using modern pedagogical approaches, namely appropriate use of the capabilities of modern digital technologies. The content of the article represents the methodology of implementing mixed learning in the professional training of specialists, reveals the essence, purpose, principles and models of mixed learning based on the competence approach.
