Abstract
Savelchuk I. B. Theoretical and methodical bases of social workers' training for professional activity in the conditions of innovative educational environment of the university. — Qualifying Research Paper as Manuscript. Dissertation for a scientific degree of Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences in speciality 13.00.05 — Social Pedagogy (23 — Social Work). — Institute of Problems on Education of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Kyiv, 2020. The thesis provides a theoretical generalization and scientific solution to the problem of preparing social workers for professional activity in the conditions of innovative educational environment of the University. The theoretical and methodological analysis of training of social workers in the conditions of innovative educational environment of the University at the general scientific, specific scientific and special scientific levels is carried out. The main methodological approaches (resource-environment, innovation-personal, competence-based) are identified, which are integrated by the system approach as the basic methodological scientific approach to the research problem. Through theoretical analysis, the essence and characterological features of the concepts «educational environment of the university», «innovative educational environment of the university» are specified. Scientific ideas of interaction between the individual and the educational environment are updated; the main reflections on the structuring of the educational environment for training modern specialists are presented. The main value strategies of the innovative educational environment that require holistic scientific and methodological support are defined: 1) partnership between all participants of the educational process and specialists of social institutions; 2) involvement of teachers in innovative activities; 3) support for the actualization of the innovative potential of students. The dissertation analyzes the features of professionalization of social workers' training based on the principles of innovation, highlighting the main activities of these specialists (socio-technological, socio-project, socio-pedagogical, organizational and managerial, research), which determine the foundations of the theory of social work (unification) and its practice (innovation). The dissertation analyzes the socio-cultural (dynamism, subjectivity) and socio-pedagogical (technology, practicality, resource availability) discourse of innovations in the training and professional activities of social workers. The leading trends and resource opportunities for the formation and development of training of social workers in the educational environment of the University are considered. The significance of socio-political, socio-economic, socio-cultural and legal prerequisites for the development of this profession is determined; the processes of formation, improvement, updating of training of social workers in the innovative educational environment of the University are analyzed. Paradigm guidelines of the concept of training social workers in the innovative educational environment of the University are presented through a Trinity: the methodology of social work as a science for which training is carried out, the methodology of professional and social education as certain branches of scientific knowledge and the methodology of a specific study. The author's concept of training social workers as a target component of the designed model of scientific and methodological support for the training of future social workers in the innovative educational environment of the University is substantiated and developed. The significance of scientific and methodological support as a set of resources, forms and methods of educational and extracurricular activities in the innovative educational environment of the University is established. There have been defined the essence and the content of methodical system to ensure functioning of the innovative educational environment of the University, in the unity of the leading elements of these systems: partnership of social institutions in terms of innovative educational environment of training social workers (as a special form of joint activities of educational institutions with state institutions and public organizations in the sphere of provision of social services); involvement in innovative activities of teachers of social work in terms of innovative educational environment (which reflects their crucial mission in the development of innovative potential of the University and the students' involvement in the restoration of the tradition and innovation in the educational and practical social work); actualization of innovative potential of future social workers by means of educational and extracurricular activities (based on the implemented in the research process author's experience in the implementation of educational innovations). The most effective subjects of partnership interaction that affect the functioning of the innovative educational environment of the University are recognized as state institutions of the social sphere, local governments, socially oriented business structures and the media, public organizations and charitable foundations. It is noted that the involvement of teachers in innovative activities is an effective tool for the implementation of scientific and methodological support for the training of social workers. The importance of student studies (ideas studios, training studios, workshops, experience studios) as informal educational programs aimed at preparing students for the most relevant and innovative areas of social work. The structural components of training (target, organizational and methodological, technological, effective, environmental), criteria (resource-environmental, personal-activity) and indicators are defined, and the level of effectiveness of scientific and methodological support for the training of social workers in the conditions of the innovative educational environment of the University (reproductive, constructive, creative) is characterized. It is proved that the model of scientific and methodological support for training social workers for professional activities and conditions for updating the innovative potential of future specialists in the innovative educational environment of the University is effective. The novelty of the obtained results lays in the fact that theoretical and methodical bases of social workers' training for professional activity in the conditions of innovative educational environment of the university are outlined and substantiated, namely: – holistic theoretical analysis of training problems of social workers in the conditions of innovative educational environment, based on the ideas of systematic resource-environment, innovation-personal and competence-based approaches, is conducted for the first time; paradigm guidelines for the resource opportunities expanding of innovative educational environment of social workers training at the university are found out ( targeted, content, functional and value orientation, strategical, systematic, holistic, innovative, paradigmatic ideas) as well as theoretical bases ( design, diagnostics, effectiveness, efficiency) of social workers’ training at the higher education institution; the concept and model of complex scientific and methodical training of social workers for professional activity in the innovative educational environment of the university are developed, as well as organizational and pedagogical conditions of its implementation (application of partnership interaction principle to social workers training; focus on involvement of education process participants in innovative activities; maintaining consistency and commitment as to choice of methods, tools and forms of innovative potential actualization of future social workers); the evaluation criteria as to effectiveness of comprehensive scientific and methodological training of social workers in the conditions of innovative educational environment (resource-environmental, personal-activity) are outlined with appropriate indicators (effectiveness, innovation, involvement, integrity, innovative orientation, innovative competence, innovative creativity) and levels (reproductive, constructive, creative); – the essence of the following concepts is specified: “educational environment of the university" as a system of managed and coordinated interactions of all subjects of the educational process, which creates specially organized conditions for effective preparation of specialists for professional activity; “innovative educational environment of the university" as a set of resources, the interaction of which actualizes the innovative tools needed to improve the scientific and methodological support of training students for professional activities; "innovative educational environment for training social workers" as a set of specially organized conditions and resources of the university, which provides higher education and qualification in the relevant “Social Work" field, promoting effective professional socialization and meeting the needs of students in development and implementation of innovative social services; – the following notions were developed further: theoretical and methodological, organizational and methodological and socio-pedagogical factors of the innovative educational environment of the university; formation preconditions and development tendencies of professional training of social workers; content, methods and forms of organization of classroom and extracurricular educational and social-educational activities of future social workers. The practical significance of the results of the study is to develop and implement the following issues in the educational process of higher education institutions: comprehensive scientific and methodological support for training social workers for professional activities in an innovative educational environment of the university; a set of didactic tools (programs, teaching aids, methodical guidance, hands-on seminars) for such disciplines as "Innovative methods in social work", "Social work with different groups of clients", "Current problems of social work", "Social innovation"; content of certain types of practices at the bachelor's level (professionally-oriented, scientific and organizational, educational and organizational, apprenticeship) and at the master's level (apprenticeship, research, undergraduate) in the preparation of students majoring in "Social Work"; creative initiatives of teaching and student staff in the conditions of innovative educational environment of the university which are reflected in the guidance (Regulations as to the organization of the "School of Innovative Experience", Competition of social projects "Social Innovations — Future Outlook”, educational students’ studios, Partnership Network of Social Institutions) and program-methodical materials (programs, methodical guidance) for teachers of higher education institutions, heads of students’ studio associations and specialists in the social sphere. The results of the study can be used in the process of training social workers during the development of educational programs, curriculum, textbooks, teaching aids in order to expand the substantive content, organizational forms and methods of classroom and extracurricular educational as well as socio-educational activities of social work students.
