Abstract

The author actualizes the problem of national-patriotic education in the conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian war. The reasons for the weakening of attention to national-patriotic education have been clarified. National identity is emphasized as the main resource for counteracting the kremlin, based on the Ukrainian language, history and cultural heritage. The ideas of Ukrainian intellectuals of the past and the present are actualized for the purpose of self-sufficiency, enrichment and renewal of the system of national-patriotic education; its content and tasks are defined. Recommendations are given to subject teachers in the main fields of knowledge.
