Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the results of the observational experiment on the use of information and digital technologies to assess the effectiveness of research. The results of previous research were: definition of the conceptual and terminological apparatus related to the subject of research; analysis of domestic and foreign experience in this field; study of requirements and provisions of current domestic regulations for their compliance with international principles and approaches to the use of quantitative indicators in evaluating the activities of scientists, research papers and research institutions, taking into account the specifics of the field of pedagogical sciences; separation of scientometric indicators to determine the rating of scientific institutions and scientists; analysis of the representation of scientific institutions and institutions of higher education in the world and domestic rankings according to their indicators; identification of general approaches to evaluating the effectiveness of pedagogical research; determination of criteria and indicators for evaluating the effectiveness of pedagogical research, etc. Therefore, the completion of the first stage was the development of a questionnaire (survey) for research and teaching staff, which aims to identify the current state of use of information and digital technologies to assess the effectiveness of research. According to the results of the survey, it was found that some researchers and research and teaching staff do not use the information and digital technologies to assess the effectiveness of pedagogical research in one form or another. Many scientists do not use scientific and metric databases to familiarize themselves with scientific work on the research topic. This contributes to the fact that scientists do not carry out sufficient analyses of scientific sources. In addition, not all respondents have profiles in all scientific and metric databases, which leads to the fact that the presentation of the effectiveness of a scientist is not fully implemented.
