Abstract

The author has developed a cluster of tasks for the development of natural science competence of students, close to the format of the PISA international comparative evaluation. The stimulus material for this task is based on the study of "grid cells", which form spatial maps in the brain of mammals. Tasks of various types are aimed at testing the ability to “Evaluate and Design Scientific Enquiry” and “Interpret Data and Evidence Scientifically”.
