Abstract
In the article, the results of a theoretical study of the problem of creating innovative educational methods in the system of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine are shown. This is due to the mission of the organization, set by UNESCO, on scaling of innovative methods of scienсe education in research, experimental and scientific practices in the education systems of Ukraine and Eastern Europe, ensuring the availability of innovative methods of teaching science for countries in Africa, the Middle East and Central America. The essence and interrelations between the concepts “methodology” and “teaching methodology” are specified. References are made to the Law of Ukraine “On Innovative Activities” and the Regulations on the Procedure for Carrying Out Innovative Educational Activities. Based on them, the peculiarities of innovative activity in general and in the educational field of out-of-school teachers of research and experimental direction are revealed. The own definition of the concepts “educational methodology”, “innovative educational methodology” is offered. Criteria for evaluating the innovativeness of methods are considered. Important attention is paid to the stages of the process of creating innovative educational methods in the system of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the essence of the teacher’s activity at each stage is revealed. An example of development and testing of the innovative method “Fundamentals of Remote Sensing of the Earth” of the laboratory “Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing of the Earth” is given. The essence of the method is based on the pedagogical concept of science education. By means of systematic research work, the student forms an individual matrix of knowledge about the world around him and his own way of searching for true, personally verified information. One of the main tasks of the methodology is to teach students to think like a scientist – to operate with information from primary sources (satellite images), to search for facts and analyze satellite monitoring data of the Earth that confirm or refute the scientific hypothesis. Suggestions are given on the structure of the description of innovative methods at the stage of their development, as well as the forms of their presentation at the stages of implementation and scaling in the educational process of the out-of-school institution of research and experimental direction.
