Abstract
The issue of protection of children's personal data in the educational environment is important in today's environment of widespread use of digital media. Today, children spend much of their lives online: since 2011, the number of children aged 12 to 15 who own smartphones has increased by more than 50%. The digital environment offers significant opportunities for children, opens new channels for education, creativity and social interaction. However, they also pose serious risks, including cyberbullying, sexual harassment, and privacy risks. These risks have become particularly acute in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis. The education system faces the task of protecting children from risks in the digital environment, creating a safe educational space, providing teachers and parents with tools to protect children from these dangers and risks.
