Abstract

This article considers the concept of self-confidence as a subjective quality, shows its connection with the attitude of modern media users to media texts of different orientations, as well as the citizen's self-confidence as a reader. The ways and means of strengthening self-confidence in citizens, which influences their conscious opposition to negative information influences, are outlined.
