Abstract
Six months after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, UNESCO has issued a "Policy Brief: Education in the COVID-19 Era", which states that the COVID-19 pandemic has led to the largest-ever failure in education systems, affecting almost 1, 6 billion students from more than 190 countries on all continents. At the same time, it should be noted that the crisis has become a stimulus for innovation in education. To ensure the continuity of education and training, modern information and digital technologies are used: from radio and television broadcasts to the provision of sets of materials for home learning. The experience of Poland, which organized the educational process during the pandemic from the first days of quarantine, is useful.
