Abstract
In this article, we will focus on substantiating the directions of significant changes in the process of professional development of teachers in Ukraine for a productive solution to the problem of modernization of general secondary education of the XXI century. from the standpoint of subjectivity. Achieving the goal determines the formulation and solution of the following tasks: to integrate philosophical-sociological, psychological-pedagogical approaches to the definition of "subjectivity", "subjectivity of the teacher"; identify key trends in the modernization of Ukrainian education in the XXI century through the subjectivity of teachers in the general secondary education sector; identify important issues and challenges that hinder the modernization of general secondary education from the standpoint of subjectivity.
