Abstract

The complex research of a problem of introduction of the computer-oriented technique of development of foreign-language communicative competence of future experts in medical business is carried outin thesis. Described and analyzed computer-oriented methods of developing foreign language communicative competence of future medical professionals in foreign universities (medical schools and schools of Harvard, Oxford, California, Stanford and other universities in the US and other countries).It was found that the greatest efficiency in the use of computer-based methods of learning foreign languages is achieved through the use of distance and mixed forms of learning. Electronic educational resources in ukrainian medical universities, in particular in I. Gorbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University (TNMU). It was found that the most important components of the IT structure of educational environment, which are used in the implementation of computer-based methods of teaching foreign languages in particular are: cloud services Google Apps for Education and Microsoft Office 365. The concept of foreign language communicative competence of future medical professionals, based on international framework documents (Recommendations on Language Education of the Council of Europe, DigComp 2.0), as a proven human ability to apply linguistic, sociocultural, communicative knowledge, skills, abilities and attitudes to foreign language, intercultural interpersonal communication in professional medical activity and in life, to exchange experiences with native speakers of other languages for personal development and lifelong learning. The main components of the methodology for the development of foreign language communicative competence of future medical professionals have been developed, and its effectiveness has been experimentally tested. The basis of the methodology was the author's guidelines «Development of foreign language communicative competence of future medical professionals using ICT». The criteria and levels of assessment of foreign language communicative competence of future medical specialists are substantiated: normative, organizational-communicative, effective. The results of the experimental study allowed us to conclude that the proposed method is effective and can be recommended for implementation in the system of higher medical education. Recommendations for the use of computer-based methods for the development of foreign language communicative competence of future medical professionals, in particular, the author's organizational and pedagogical model for the development of foreign language communicative competence of future medical professionals. Scientific novelty and theoretical significance of the study: - for the first time the organizational and pedagogical model of development of foreign language communicative competence of future specialists in medical business is substantiated and developed; the characteristics of foreign language communicative competence (gnostic, communicative, emotional) are singled out and revealed and the components of foreign language communicative competence of future medical specialists are singled out: linguistic (personality's possession of language material for its use in the form of language expressions); sociolinguistic (the ability to use language units in a particular society); discursive (the ability to understand and achieve coherence in the perception and creation of statements in a foreign language, to use them in speech in different discourses); strategic (ability to compensate by verbal and nonverbal means for shortcomings in foreign language proficiency); socio-cultural (awareness of the socio-cultural context of the functioning of a foreign language); social (ability and willingness to communicate with those who communicate in this language as a mother tongue); professional (knowledge, skills and abilities that provide understanding of professional problems and adequacy of formation of conclusions, objectification of special terms, separation of main data, assessment of their significance from the standpoint of proffesional activity, overcoming psychological barriers when communicating potential personality based on awareness of their own need for this communicative competence of future medical specialists are substantiated: normative, organizational-communicative, effective; - the content of the basic concept is clarified: foreign language communicative competence of future medical professionals, as a confirmed ability to apply linguistic, sociocultural, communicative knowledge, skills, abilities and attitudes for foreign language, intercultural and interpersonal communication in professional medical practice and life experience. native speakers of other languages for personal development and lifelong learning; - theoretical and methodical bases of using computer-oriented methods of development of foreign language communicative competence of future medical specialists in the system of higher medical education were further developed. The practical significance of the obtained results of the research is that the following are developed: the main components of the computer-oriented method of development of foreign language communicative competence of future medical specialists; methodical recommendations «Development of foreign language communicative competence of future specialists in medical practice using ICT» were prepared, which include calendar-thematic planning for 22 school hours and contain three modules: I - principles of using computer-oriented methods of learning foreign languages; ІІ - experience of development of foreign language communicative competence of future medical specialists with the help of information and communication technologies; III - development of the environment for the development of foreign language communicative competence of future medical professionals; developed tools for assessing (diagnosing) foreign language communicative competence of future medical professionals, which was tested in I. Gorbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University. The materials of the dissertation research can be used in the training of future medical professionals for the development of curricula in foreign languages in higher medical education; to improve the skills of medical workers; to develop educational and methodological support for the computer-oriented environment of higher education institutions for the study of foreign languages and the formation of foreign language communicative competence of medical professionals.
