Abstract
The article analyzes modern review models, describes their disadvantages and advantages, as well as trends in their implementation in the publishing process of international scientific journals. The editorial and publishing process of the electronic scientific professional publication “Information Technologies and Teaching Aids” is presented, which highlights the organization and conduct of the review process from finding and inviting reviewers to cooperation between the editor, reviewer and author. The stage of “Initial expert evaluation” and criteria for evaluation of the manuscript by experts are presented in detail. Free online resources have been analyzed and selected for use, which will help to improve the process of examination of scientific products and the work of scientific editors.
