Abstract
The use of modern information and communication technologies (ICT) in education the process helps to increase the level of interest, making the process of learning new material accessible and visual. The article considers the main types and characteristics of information and communication technologies used in the educational process of domestic secondary schools (ZSSO). According to ergonomic features of use, specified ICT is divided into two groups: means with external data input devices to which they belong PC, laptop, netbook; candy bars, which include tablet PCs, e-book readers. It is noted that the effectiveness, efficiency, and safety of the use of various ICT tools is largely due to the balanced pedagogical approaches. The list of risks of physical and mental overload of the body of students and the consequences of ill-considered use of ICT is given. It is emphasized that the negative consequences for the physical health of students can be avoided by creating special conditions, compliance with a number of requirements, the formation of health competence of participants in the educational process. The basic rules of work with ICT are outlined during school and at home, which can be used by teachers and parents to organize the child's workplace. Recommendations for the healthy use of ICT are provided. It is important to prepare the younger generation for the healthy use of ICT before working with these products, getting acquainted with the potential negative consequences of use and ways to avoid them in order to preserve their own health.
