Abstract
The review is devoted to four books of memoirs of the modern Ukrainian writer, publisher, and public figure M. Slaboshpytsky. On the example of the analysis of the first book of memoirs, it is noted that the tetralogy "Wiping the Mirror" (2017), "Shadows in the Mirror" (2018), "From the Memory of the Mirror" (2019), "From the Twilight Mirror" (2020) is a kind of encyclopedia literary and would-be literary life of Ukraine in the second half of the 20th century — the beginning of the 21st century, where real stories of people are combined with stories about time, where the subjective vision of the author is expressed by his artistic and journalistic skills.
