Abstract

Until recently, special psychology was an integral part defectology - a complex science, which included a comprehensive study of the causes and mechanisms of development that deviates from the norm, and the development of scientifically sound medical, psychological and pedagogical corrective actions for children with various deficiencies in psychophysical development. Significant for the development of special psychology are the achievements of psychological science in recent years, due to the growing influence of the humanistic paradigm on the idea of ​​the subject and methodology of psychological research.
