Abstract
The introduction of ICT in education highlights the course of social change, is a mechanism and means of state development. ICT concepts are associated with such global concepts as the information society and the informatization of education, they must be provided with in-depth scientific elaboration, legislative documents, material and technical resources, and so on. Being innovative in purpose, the concepts, laws, strategies, programs, etc. proposed for education have long been based on traditional, or even somewhat outdated, principles of social and state development. Markers of positive changes that accompany the process of information society development in Ukraine and renewal of the education system were the Concept of the New Ukrainian School and the Concept of providing high school students with e-textbooks and other electronic educational resources, the National Educational Electronic Platform project.
