Abstract
Considering the rising problems in college English teaching, the concept of "Sharing and Family" is integrated into English teaching, aiming at the development of the deeper emotional connection and creating a positive classroom atmosphere. Keynote speech is suggested as the primary learning activity to stimulate students’ interest and effort, enhance their English communicative competence and confidence. It also contributes into the students’ awareness of the necessity to study by themselves as well as the development of their self-learning ability. The effectiveness of the "Sharing and Family" teaching mode based on the application of Keynote speech and the important impact on the current college English teaching have been proven through the teaching practice.
