Abstract
The article deals with various interpretations of the concept of electronic textbook, as a result, under the electronic textbook in this study is meant an electronic educational publication in which the educational material corresponds to the educational program and provides the completeness of the material outlined, is structured, systematized, and also contains audio and video materials, images and animations. , multimedia content and simulators, and other elements, and provides interactive interaction between schoolchildren and educational material. It has been established that components of the electronic textbook should include the following components: theoretical, practical, demonstrative and empirical, as well as means of checking students' knowledge. Summarized that the electronic textbook is effective in those cases where it: saves time when multiple appeals to hypertext explanations; gives the user access to check knowledge on a specific topic; is interactive, satisfies the feedback; allows the student to freely choose the path through the structure of the textbook; provides correction with results of control, testing; has multimedia structural components; allows you to manage objects and so on It is generalized that when developing electronic textbooks, it is necessary to consider the following principles: completeness of information resources, modularity; regulation; visibility, adaptability; computer support; compliance, multiplatform, systematic, consistent and structured, collectible, accessible and portable. It is concluded that the electronic textbook is an alternative to replacing a regular textbook that is simple and interesting for use by schoolchildren. The prospect of further research is the allocation of criteria and indicators, which should correspond to the modern electronic textbook of the institution of general secondary education.
