Abstract
An online survey conducted by scientists of the Institute of Information Technologies and Learning Tools of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine in the period of March 27 to April 4, 2020 aimed at identifying public opinion of educators on the effectiveness of using online tools for providing distance learning for students, as well as identifying educational resources, e-learning, which are in high demand among teachers in quarantine caused by the spread of the COVID-19 virus in Ukraine. The survey was attended by 607 respondents, including: teachers, school leaders, teaching assistants, school psychologists, and social educators. The results of the respondents' answers to the following questions were presented: access to the Internet, the amount and time of distance learning, the needs of teachers to improve their professional skills in using ICT, effective online tools and educational means for distance learning, the number of students, the readiness and motivation of students and parents to distance learning in quarantine. Recommendations are given on the necessary measures and steps to respond to the need for the organization and implementation of distance learning in quarantine by educational authorities, teacher training institutions, schools, research institutions and other stakeholders.
