Abstract
The article points out the relevance and scientific significance of the study of self-trust. It is considered as a subject quality in the context of the population developing media-consciconsciousness and evaluating various printed media and ununderstanding the differences between them. That contributes a lot to the resistance to the attempts of the media and the Internet to manipulate the reader. The article discusses the empirical data of authorial projective (drawing) method of studying the citizen's attitude to manipulative and dialogue-like media texts and the relation between the attitude to the text with the self-trust or self-distrust. The importance of dialogic interaction through the text is emphasized in order to confirm and improve the reader's self-trust.
