Abstract

The results of diagnostics of the operational component of research skills of high school students on the example of biology are considered. We proceeded from the assumption that at all stages of the study study (from hypothesis to interpretation of results) the students of the senior profile school should be able to apply different mental actions, to form a plan of further activity on the basis of their own conclusions. The results of the study give reason to conclude that the high school students have a lack of development of research skills, the development of which largely depends on the conditions created by the teacher, the use of appropriate methods and techniques of the organization of educational research, skillful pedagogical leadership of this process, etc.
