Abstract

The conditions and modern tendencies of the information society development, as well as the key problems of implementation of information and communication and digital technologies in the do-mestic education, which require urgent solution, are considered such as: the formation and widespread in-troduction of a unified educational information space of Ukraine and ensuring the proper scientific support of these processes; deployment and improvement of the necessary elements of the infrastructure of regional information and telecommunication networks, interconnected with each other, and with the global Internet network, which will overcome "digital inequality" in different regions of Ukraine, in particular in rural areas; low level of information and communication technology competencies (ICT competencies) and digital compe-tencies of the population, the use of outdated approaches in teaching and low motivation of subjects of the educational process on the use of advanced ICT; the fact isnot the formation of a holistic national policy for the application of information and communication technologies in education, the imperfect regulatory and legal framework that does not ensure the construction of an information society and, as a result, hinders the digitalization of education in Ukraine. The priorities, technological principles of information and educational environment construction are singled out. The urgent tasks of the development of computer-oriented educa-tional systems, the creationand use of electronic educational resources, in particular the electronic textbook, creation of the environment for ongoing development of the digital competence of the educational process subjects, the carrying out of pedagogical researches on informatization of education are determined, devel-opment and implementation of a program to increase citizens' awareness of information security, cyber se-curity and the protection of confidential information, in particular personal data, against the threats of theirunauthorized use.Key words: digitalization of education, electronic educational resources, electronic textbook, infor-mational and educational environment.
