Abstract
The article analyzes a key point in the axiogenesis of a gifted person - value self-determination, which consists in choosing one of the two main models of regulation of personal development: situational-value or personal-value. The improved questionnaire "Profile of the value consciousness of a gifted person" and three main indicators of value self-determination are described: the indicator of situational-value regulation; indicator of personal-value regulation; an indicator of the value orientation of a gifted person. The connection between academic success and experience of achievements with indicators of value self-determination of persons with signs of giftedness is confirmed. Gender features of value self-determination in the educational space are revealed. The special significance of the values of social interaction, in particular the values of recognition, for the value self-determination of high school students with signs of giftedness has been established.
