Abstract
The article focuses on the theoretical and practical importance of the problem of formation of harmonious relations of students with nature in connection with the aggravation of the ecological situation in the world and in Ukraine. The purpose of the article is to substantiate conceptual approaches to solving the problem of harmonization of relations with nature; analysis of the data obtained as a result of empirical research, which will be the basis for the development of scientific and methodological support for the formation of harmonious relations with nature in students in primary school and out-of-school educational institutions. The research uses the following methods: questionnaires for schoolchildren and educators, solving students' situations, and monitoring behavior. Specific data on students' understanding of their interaction with nature are given. Indicators of harmonization of relations with nature in elementary school students and out-of-school educational institutions are determined: the level of environmental literacy, understanding of the nature of relations and interactions with nature, influence of strategies of personal and family consumption on the environment; the place of co-evolutionary environmental values in the value hierarchy of the individual; non-pragmatic motives for interaction with nature; building relationships with nature on the principles of environmental ethics; forming a sense of responsibility for decision-making in nature; activation of environmental protection activities; self-regulation of consumption. Comparison of the results obtained with the scientific achievements concerning the environmental education of pupils revealed that the presented research extends the results of scientific researches mentioned in the article. The findings emphasize that in the educational environment there is a lack of understanding of the processes of harmonization of relations with nature, an underestimation of one's own environmental impact and, as a result, a translation of environmental responsibility at others or at other times. The presence of ethical motives is correlated with the age-old changes in the nature of pupils' attitude to nature. The tendency for gradual decline in subjectivity in the attitude of students towards nature is confirmed with age (from 6 to 9 classes). There are also contradictions in older teenagers' perceptions of their natural environment and their role in changing it.
