Abstract

The article is disclosed the specifics of the introductory training of the literary special course "Masterpieces of Modernism: Studying Ukrainian and Foreign Literature in an Artistic Context". It is emphasized that the presented material will contribute to the deepening of the students' knowledge about modernism as an artistic and literary phenomenon of the late 19th – the beginning of the 20th centuries, famous European and Ukrainian modernist artists and their outstanding works, the development of key cultural and subject reading competences.
