Abstract
In the process of preparation of postgraduate students, in particular, in education/ pedagogy, the use of information and communication technologies is not fully implemented, since they are used mainly for the search for research sources and the formatting of the text of the dissertation, however, other aspects of the study are still performed in the traditional way. A number of information and communication technologies and services have been analyzed, and recommendations have been given on their application for scientific and pedagogical research, presentation of research results and their dissemination. The main criteria for the selection of information and communication technologies, which should be used for the implementation of the dissertation work were: free of charge, functionality, usability, multilingualism, the possibility of uploading in electronic form for further work with documents, etc. In the process of performing scientific and pedagogical research it is necessary to apply information and communication technologies, which are important means of improving this process, the use of which will be facilitated by: significant reduction of the time for searching and analysis of scientific literature on the research issue; increasing productivity through the use of electronic information resources (scientific literature and others in electronic formats suitable for further work); financial savings on visiting stationary libraries, archives, savings on business trips for interviewing respondents from different regions of Ukraine, etc.; ensuring constant open access to the results of scientific research, etc. For the implementation of scientific and pedagogical research – preparation of dissertation work, it is recommended to use such means and specialized programs: electronic libraries, institutional repositories, databases, bibliographicmanagers, resources for creating a presentation and infographics, resources for the statistical processing of quantitative data, resources for the compilation of tests, questionnaires, etc.
