Abstract

The textbook meets the requirements of the State standard of basic and complete secondary education, the current program in Ukrainian literature for the 11th grade (level of standard ) and the main task of the Concept of the New Ukrainian School. The main task of it is to interest students of a work of art as a phenomenon of art; to form the ability to consider a work taking into account its aesthetic essence, through the prism of key ideas of a certain artistic direction, the stylistic movement, that artistically embodies the concept of the world and the human race of a particular historical and cultural epoch which was formed in the writer's mind; to develop subject reading and key competencies; to teach students to manage reader and personal self-development.The methodological approach of the textbook is based on the principles of personally oriented and competency approaches.
