Abstract

The thesis reveals the role of the text in the formation of key competences of the Lyceum students in the Ukrainian language lessons. The author argues that it is necessary to give preference to texts that raise a discussion issue, show ways to resolve a controversial issue, describe a conflict of interest, and more. Analyzing and interpreting such texts, discussing with their authors, the student will acquire important skills and abilities: to understand, compare and analyze diverse information, find thematic relevant in different in form, style and genre texts, gradually solve the current problem, isolate information, isolate information classmates when finding an adequate and acceptable solution and more.
