Abstract

The analysis of the literature on the problem of research of the motives of senior preschool children to study had been made. The classification of motives is considered. The main factor of the differences in the conditions of the development of modern children from their predecessors is the change in the external environment, namely the emergence in their lives of new games on various gadgets. The results of empirical research are outlined, in which the leading motives, which motivate modern preschoolers to study, are defined.
