Abstract
The thesis discloses the feasibility of the inclusion of competency-oriented tasks in school textbooks on biology, which is proved by the fact that students acquire skills of working with them, learn to independently master the content textbook, search for additional information, construct answers in various forms of information expression: verbal and graphical (schema, table, etc.), control their educational achievements.
