Abstract
The article raises the problem of implementation of the competence approach in school literary education, which is considered as one of the priority directions of its development. The specifics of Ukrainian literature as a subject in modern realities are outlined. The essence of concepts "reader’s key competence" and "reader’s subject competence" are specified; the structure and features of the subject literary competence (general cultural, literary, interpretive, axiological, creative-speech, self-organizing, informational) are determined. The didactic-methodical potential of the Ukrainian language study programs for grades 10–11 (2017) and the programs of literary special courses for the profile school (2018) on the consistent implementation of the tasks of the New Ukrainian School is revealed. In particular, the emphasis is on the competence of the current curriculum, which is manifested in their knowledgeable, activity based and value components. The assignment of cross-sectional content lines of educational programs in Ukrainian literature for development in pupils’ ability to apply the acquired subject knowledge and skills in different educational and life situations is highlighted. The textbook of Ukrainian literature (level of standard) for the 10th grade (2018) is described as an effective means of the implementation of subject-subject school literary education, focused on the formation of a competent pupil-reader. It is stressed that the essential factors of its effectiveness are the clear structure of the textbook, the appeal to the reading experience of the tenths, the use of modern educational material and the definition of the trajectory of its processing, taking into account the principles of differentiation and individualization of training in the construction of the methodical apparatus, the priority of innovative methods and methods of educational activity, implementation of the cultural approach.
