Abstract

In the theses the peculiarities of learning the syntax of complex sentence in the 9th grade on the basis of competence are determined. The emphasis is placed on the need for a text-centric approach, which involves the study of linguistic themes based on the text. The system of complex exercises from the syntax is characterized, the criteria for choosing texts for them are determined.
