Abstract

The article provides substantiated information on the clarifications made in the current Ukrainian language program for 5-9 grades of Russian-language HEIs [4]. Cautions and assumptions about the prospects of building a new course for a 12-year-old school have been made, problems have been highlighted, the solution of which requires fundamental changes in the theory, methodology and practice of teaching the Ukrainian language.
