Abstract

The article presents an analysis important for the development of an experimental method of competence-oriented teaching of the Ukrainian language of students of the Lyceum. The author draws attention to the age-old peculiarities of the students, emphasizes the importance of their emotional development. While highlighting the results of the questionnaire for schoolchildren, the researcher simultaneously outlines the main benchmarks in the work of the teacher: work on the self-determination of students, promoting the holistic perception of the Ukrainian language, emotional development of schoolchildren, preparing them for many life challenges, acquiring subjective experience. One of the indicators of the effectiveness of the methodology of the author believes the current system of attitudes.
