Abstract
The article deals with the relationship between the levels (phases) of burnout (stress, resistance and exhaustion) and organizational and professional characteristics of the personnel of the Civil Protection Operational and Rescue Service of The State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU). The author analyzes the effects of rescuers' organizational and professional characteristics (education, position, experience, active military service, medical/physiological condition and motivation) on their developing burnout. In was found that burnout had strongest correlations with the following rescuers' characteristics: personnel category (certified civil protection personnel had higher burnout rate than freelance workers), education (the more advanced education, the greater probability of burnout), work experience (direct correlation), previous military service (negative correlation), participation in combat operations (negative correlation), penalties (employees with active penalties are more prone to burnout), health condition (the better health, the lower risks of burnout). In general, it was shown that rescuers' organizational and professional characteristics had complex relationships with the risks and levels/phases of burnout, which include tension, resistance and exhaustion.
