Abstract

The content of the article is devoted to the well-known scientist-methodologist MP Oklakenka, who for more than twenty years led the laboratory of methods of teaching geography at the Ukrainian Educational Research Institute of Pedagogy, who created the scientific-pedagogical triad: "teacher - methodologist - scientist". To the jubilee of the scientist, the Institute of Pedagogics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine launched a prize in his name dedicated to prominent geography teachers, methodists and scholars.
