Abstract
In the article the problems of activation of cognitive activity of students of high school in the process of teaching physics and peculiarities of its organization in the conditions of virtually-oriented educational environment are considered. It is shown that traditional approaches to teaching do not fully meet the modern requirements of developing personality-oriented learning. Specific examples are given for the creation of a virtual environment in the process of teaching physics in order to enhance the cognitive and search activity of students. Changes in our society have led to the fact that education must be reformed and respond to new needs. In a modern educational environment, the school cannot provide information of the proper volume and quality, even for a short period of time. The reason is - the rapid growth of the flow of scientific information. In order to enable the student to replenish new knowledge under such conditions, to comprehend the information received, it is necessary to teach students to actively work on lessons and on their own, as well as to activate cognitive activity through the use of interactive and innovative technologies within the framework of modern competencies.
