Abstract
The article covers the socio-psychological aspects of work on the adaptation of deviant to the modern socio-cultural environment. The principles and tasks of social rehabilitation work, in particular concerning the formation of adaptive behavior models, are presented. The article provides methodological recommendations that were developed on the basis of studies of the features of empathy and self-regulation of children of junior school age. It is proved that psycho-pedagogical correction of empathy of disadapted pupils can be carried out under the condition of combining the efforts of a school psychologist, teacher and parents under the leading function of a school psychologist. It includes: optimizing relationships in the school social environment at all levels; involving adults and children in a single process that allows for the exchange of experiences and creates a safe environment for all participants; assistance in meeting the basic social needs of each student; stimulating their own socially directed activity of each group.
