Abstract
The authors present the results of empirical research related to the occurrence of the main types and index of social tension at the level of teaching staff and organization interaction. Every third respondent noted a high level of the social tension index at the teaching staff and organization interaction level. The leading types of social tension were shown to be those related to the socio-economic crisis and tension, poor organizational and psychological work conditions as well as work-life disbalance. The authors discuss the levels of the main types of organizational culture in educational organizations as well as the relationships between the social tension types and organizational culture types in educational organizations. Person culture was found to be underdeveloped in educational organizations, although person culture and tasks culture were shown to reduce overall social tension and its individual types in educational organizations at the teaching staff and organization interaction level. Although power culture and role culture did not significantly affect social tension at the teaching staff and organization interaction level, they did increase certain types of social tension.
