Abstract
The manual was created on the experimental curriculum “Biology. Grade 9” and in accordance with the biology program for students in grades 6–9 of general educational institutions. Its content includes general biological knowledge in sections on which it is worth to focus the attention of teachers because of the large number of difficult to master issues: "Heredity", "The Body and the Environment" and "The Evolution of the Organic World". The manual contains a section "Tasks for the course," which the teacher can use to conduct a test of students' knowledge. The tasks in this part of the manual are distributed by type (the task is to select one correct answer, tasks for matching, for classification, for sorting, open tasks). The manual is intended for use by teachers in the organization of educational activities of 9th grade students.
