Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of formation of 11 groups of basic (key) competencies defined by the legislation, necessary for every modern person to succeed. These groups include the following competences: fluency in the official language; the ability to communicate with one's own (in case of difference from the state language) and foreign languages; mathematical competence; competence in the field of natural sciences, engineering and technology; innovation; ecological competence; information and communication competence; life-long learning; civil and social competences related to the ideas of democracy, justice, equality, human rights, well-being and a healthy lifestyle, with the awareness of equal rights and opportunities; cultural competence; entrepreneurship and financial literacy; other competences provided by the standard of education. These competencies should be formed on lessons from all subjects and, above all, the Ukrainian language. The article proposes effective ways of solving the problem by means of project of the textbook «Ukrainian Languages (Grade 10; learning in Russian), authors N. Bondarenko and S. Kosianchuk. The basic means of learning is based on the competence matrix developed by the authors. The emphasis is on the benefits of the didactic-methodical system laid down in the textbook. This is primarily an active/interactive cognitive, communicative and speech-thinking organization of learning, a textual basis for the study of the Ukrainian language. Educational texts are aimed at the formation of all competence groups. The textbook presents the optimal organizational forms, methods and tools for the effective formation of key competencies, including working with text, dialogue, conversation, brainstorming, crowding (web, cluster, mental and semantic maps); six colored hats by Edward de Bono); role games, business games, reflexive, organizational and communicative games, project activity, mutual learning, random method, scribing, cinquain, essay, round table, discussion, public speech, public hearings, webinar, press conference, Internet conference; execution of situational, problematic, research, creative and other tasks; training, axiological (reflexive), and so on.
