Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of creating a typology of families in need of social and psychological assistance. It is shown that the lack of an adequate family typology and the type of assistance that they need leads to the fact that resources are provided to families who are not interested in solving their problems. It has been empirically proven that the signs by which families are classified as "the family of the difficult life circumstances" do not correspond to the actual cause of the problems of the family. The typology of families that need social and psychological help is based on psychological determinants.
