Abstract
The article is devoted to the problems of forming the communicative skills of the teacher, and also his personal qualities, which are an indispensable condition for the formation of pedagogical skills. A special role in this is played by communicative mechanisms. It is thanks to the communicative mechanisms that education, education, the formation of the image of one's own self, psychotherapeutic influence, the borrowing of patterns of behavior, etc. are possible. The concept of "communication" should be interpreted as primarily psychological, revealing the semantic aspect of social interaction and communication. The pedagogical function of communication can be considered as a form of management, directed at the direction of other people. Such social and professional aspects of the teacher's personality as didactic and auxiliary functions are considered, the teacher's informal authority, relations with the students' families, the teacher's involvement in certain social groups.
