Abstract

The problem of the subject of nation creation has a set of aspects. Particularly, there is definite uncertainty in reading and using of term “nation creation,” what makes a background for differentiation of notional constructs derived from it. Among them: a) transformation from ethnos, ethnical group to the nation; b) nation creation upon an initiative of a state institution; c) national rebirth; d) development of the already existed nation, etc. It worth saying that in every scenario mentioned above take place its own set and its own configuration of subjective force, own aims and ways of their achievement. The functional format of subjective activity depends on social-psychological characteristics of the process of nation creation as mainly spontaneous or organized, forced or free, stereotyped, borrowed or innovative. To solve problems mentioned above and other ones we take the attempt of creation of a probationary variant of the social-psychological conception of the subject of the nation creation process. The structure of the conception consists of functionally related concepts: motivation of the nation creation; means and methods of the nation creation; orientation in the situation of the nation creation; practical implementation of the project of nation creation; evaluation of the results; identification of opportunities to move to a higher level.
