Abstract
The author of the thesis «The Tendencies of Development of Methods of Teaching the Ukrainian Literature in Secondary Schools (Second Half of XX – Beginning of XXI Century)» scientifically substantiated the main trends in the development of domestic subject methodology and revealed the possibilities for creative use of productive methodological experience in the development of modern school literary education. The necessity for holistic exposure of historical origins in the methods of teaching Ukrainian literature, identifying key trends in its development, critical rethinking of methodological heritage in the context of constructive filling the content, forms and methods of modern literary education and an optimal ensuring its practical results are proved. The concept «trends in the development of Ukrainian literature teaching methodology» is suggested, defining as a systematic collection of qualitative changes in the development of ideas, content, methods, techniques and organizational forms, which are typical for the subject didactics of the concrete historical period. The scientific novelty of the dissertation’s outcomes is that for the first time: the formation and trends in the development of Ukrainian literature teaching methodology as a system of scientific knowledge, the change of which is accompanied by the evolution of the scientific content of the methodological knowledge and its productive use in the process of schooling literature are integrally described; the complex of philosophical, literary, psychological and pedagogical factors, historical and cultural, social conditions determining vectors of methodical searches is revealed; the periodization of the literary school education genesis on cultural basis is proposed and scientifically argued; the contribution of the progressive leaders in education and culture on the formation of domestic methodical thinking is analyzed; the achievements and contradictions in the development of literature teaching methods in the period of the Soviet school are identified; the features for restructuring literary education in the conditions of national school approval are clarified; the main trends in the development of new methods in teaching Ukrainian literature in school are identified and described (a systematic approach to content, methods and forms of teaching literature; standardization of the content and results of school literary education; personality-oriented literature teaching, competency-based paradigm of school literary education; the use of information and communication technologies in the school course of literature, the specialization of school literary education); the definition of «trends» as a key category of pedagogy is concretized, and the concept of «trends in the development of methods in teaching Ukrainian literature» is formulated; the new methodological concepts, actualization of which contributes to the deepening of professional knowledge about the regularities of subject didactics development and opportunities of qualitative filling content and form as a school literary education and vocational training of teachers-philologist, are introduced into the scientific circulation; the ideas of humanization and humanitarization of school literary education, intersubject teaching Ukrainian literature in school, informatization and technologization of its learning process, integration of interartistic and interscientific knowledge in the school course of literature were further developed.
