Abstract
Some theoretical aspects of multimodal suggestive psychotherapy are investigated. It is shown that human psychological and social adaptation depends on one’s thinking traits. There is studied the possibility to develop a conception for adaptive suggestive modification of thinking. It is ascertained that, while constructing cognitive psychotherapeutic models, thinking to be considered as an open nonlinear system-process with corresponding applicable methodological principles of general systems theory. It is suggested that an adaptation potential of thinking shall be enhanced by means of multimodal heterogeneous suggestion. It is shown that suggestive psychotherapeutic influence is to be primarily targeted at one’s thoughts and views. The main technique for psychotherapeutic influence is confrontational suggestion. It is shown that, in accordance with the key theoretical basics of psychotherapeutic confrontational suggestion, there are general scientific ideas-principles that are considered as antagonists of dysfunctional thoughts. Such ideas-principles can be implant in a human by means of direct and indirect psychotherapeutic heterogeneous suggestion. It is determined that a perceptible effect is achieved by suggestion of the ideas-principles of continuous changeability, interdependence, relativity, irreversibility, self-organization and dynamic equilibrium. It is concluded that the process of suggestive modification of thinking is ongoing by the following: suggestion of the basic adaptation ideas-principles; provocation of a state of cognitive dissonance using the technique of psychotherapeutic confrontational suggestion; and initiation of spontaneous modification of cognitive structures. Adaptation and suggestive modification of thinking is resulted in enhancing of its feasibility and creativity.
